Hello FPV flyers, below are some details about upcoming plane race.
Short EN version with rules is here.
Race track for first race will be very simple. Small (< 0.5km max range), simple turns, no complex objects. In short:
- All participants and spectators will be standing on hill
- On gate will be on/below electrical cables. They are probably unpowered, but still, do not skip this gate, fly safe
- One object for recognition is behind trees. Remember – you can just reach this point with safe altitude and skip recognition, if you aren’t sure about your RC/FPV link quality.
Track coordinates/layout is here (no EN version but track is simple enough).
Still not decided about date – people have different opinions/possibilities, so here is short list (second column – pilots voting for this date):
04.22 | 5 |
04.29 | 5 |
05.06 | 6 |
05.13 | 6 |
If you plan to participate in race – register now and pick date (-s) which is OK for you. We will announce date with most pilots at beginning of april.
Why track is so small? We did “long-leg” races (see 2016-3 FPV meeting for example) but let’s start from simple things, for beginning. Some people have problems even with 300m range, so let’s give them chance to start. We will keep original “long-leg” track for second race, if first will go fine – you can check this video from original (now – second race) location:
