{"id":457,"date":"2016-06-02T22:26:48","date_gmt":"2016-06-02T20:26:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fpv.team\/?page_id=457"},"modified":"2016-09-01T09:59:28","modified_gmt":"2016-09-01T07:59:28","slug":"minikopteriu-lenktyniu-taisykles","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/fpv.team\/en\/archyvas\/2016-antros-lenktynes\/minikopteriu-lenktyniu-taisykles\/","title":{"rendered":"Racing rules of minicopters"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol>\n<li>\n<h5>Race of FPV Minicopters<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Race of FPV (First Person View) minicopters, which is organized by the <strong>LT-FPV <\/strong>\u00a0team,\u00a0is a kind of entertainment, but with each race event we are trying to match as much as possible with\u00a0international\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fai.org\/downloads\/ciam\/SC4_F3FPV_2016\">FAI F3U<\/a>\u00a0sporting\u00a0requirements.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The race takes place in a circle of pre-prepared and marked route involving a number of participants at the same time. The race is open to all who wish to participate\u00a0and\u00a0has the FPV minicopter with the equipment corresponding the rules.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The race is divided into two\u00a0classes of \u201c<strong>MINI<\/strong>\u201c and \u201c<strong>PRO<\/strong>\u201d. Individual equipment requirements for each class are given in the rules. The participant can participate in several classes of competition with the same minicopter if the equipment complies with the requirements for the class.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A separate race category \u2013 <strong>FreeStyle<\/strong> where points are awarded not for the race but for the performance and stunts. In this contest, you can use any (safe) measures, including track\u00a0equipment or specific aircraft modifications (eg. A very bright LED lighting, smoke devices, etc.).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">We\u00a0hope that any disagreements between the participants will be resolved peacefully. In an arguable situation &#8211; organizers word is final and not subject to appeal.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">In case where rules differ between EN and LT versions &#8211; LT version takes precedence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5>Minicopters<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Only minicopters fulfilling the following requirements can take place in the race.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minicopters must be set to fail-safe so that the loss of the connection, could immediately stop the motors. Various automatic landings or return to home\u00a0are prohibited!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">All minicopters must have a prepared 5V servo connection and the location where IR sensor intended to fix the overcoming time of track route will be connected and fitted. <a href=\"http:\/\/fpv.team\/en\/lenktynes\/iranga-laiko-matavimo-sistema\/\">More information here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The change of video channels in the minicopters should not be difficult as each participant will have a little time for changing channels under the table during the race (3-5min.)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Any propeller protection is prohibited.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It&#8217;s recommended (but not required) to have bright LED&#8217;s on rear.<br \/>\n<h5><strong>PRO class:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>A Minicopter must have 4 motors.<\/li>\n<li>The total weight of flying minicopter\u00a0must not exceed 750 g.<\/li>\n<li>Diameter between the motors\u00a0must not exceed 280mm.<\/li>\n<li>Battery voltage must not exceed 4S (16.8 V).<\/li>\n<li>Propeller diameter must not exceed 5&#8243;.<\/li>\n<li>Must have HD video camera for recording or at least a hammer\u00a0of 50g weight for its simulation.<\/li>\n<li>It is allowed to fly only in ACRO mode.<\/li>\n<li>Max 5.8G video transmission power is 25mW.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>MINI class:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>A Minicopter must have 4 motors.<\/li>\n<li>The total weight of flying minicopter\u00a0must not exceed 650g.<\/li>\n<li>Diameter between the motors\u00a0must not exceed 200mm.<\/li>\n<li>Battery voltage must not exceed 4S (16.8 V).<\/li>\n<li>Propeller diameter must not exceed 4&#8243;.<\/li>\n<li>It is allowed to fly only in ACRO mode.<\/li>\n<li>Max 5.8G video transmission power is 25mW.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Freestyle category:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Participates only copters (planes and similar equipment is not accepted, but dualcopters and similar equipment with aerodynamic planes is accepted).<\/li>\n<li>Participant can fly to the music or not. Music must be submitted to the organizers in FLAC \/ MP3 format during registration.<\/li>\n<li>3D mode is allowed, additional headset (to replicate music).<\/li>\n<li>Total weight of flying\u00a0copter\u00a0must not exceed 2.5 kg.<\/li>\n<li>Must have HD video camera for recording or at least a hammer\u00a0of 60g weight for its simulation.<\/li>\n<li>The flight must be in FPV not LoS. You can ascend and\u00a0descend (up to 15s total flight) not flying FPV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>FPV equipment<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Video transmitters and receivers of 5.8G, 2.4G, 1.2G can be used at the race depending on the frequency and power limitations described in the other sections of these Rules.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The receiver can be integrated into the FPV glasses, HMD or screen, or it may be external, attached to the glasses, HMD or screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>FPV frequencies<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FPV and frequencies are allocated by the race groups, depending on the participants equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frequency restrictions:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">5.8G frequency. Only the\u00a0following\u00a0frequencies will\u00a0be used during the race: <strong>5645 \/ 5705 \/ 5800 \/ 5865MHz<\/strong>. Please\u00a0learn how to set these frequencies on your equipment (or at least part of them, if the equipment is very limited).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.4G frequency<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two frequencies, 2370 and 2510MHz, standing away (10m +) of the participants, using 2.4G RC transmitter are<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">allowed<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the race.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Max Power is 500mW<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.2G frequency.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two frequencies (three &#8211; with some specific receivers) separated<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by a minimum of 98MHz wide band are<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">allowed<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the race.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Max Power is 700mW.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h5><strong>Racing<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the event participants can switch their equipment only with the permission of the judges and only at the proper time. At any other time to test and reconnect both RC\u00a0and FPV equipment is prohibited! All the equipment must be ready in advance!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each participant who comes and lively registers for the racing, will get video frequency, which will be devoted to warm-up and the first phase of the competition<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Participant&#8217;s responsibility is to follow the flight schedule and when turn\u00a0comes to present themselves before the judges.\u00a0If you miss your turn, there will be no second chance.<\/li>\n<li>Before each flight, the participant receives:\n<ul>\n<li>The card with the given\u00a0frequency, which must be worn\u00a0visibly.<\/li>\n<li>Transponder to be mounted on a flying object.<\/li>\n<li>Reflective vest, which must be worn during the flight and when going to the track.<\/li>\n<li>Thick gloves &#8211; copter with the power on can be worn only with\u00a0gloves!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>After the flight participant must release\u00a0the participant&#8217;s chair, gather his\u00a0equipment and immediately return the card, transponder, vest and gloves to the judges.\u00a0After\u00a0returning items and registering the time, participant\u00a0must leave the judges area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Race stages:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Warm up.\u00a0<\/strong>All participants<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">regardless of race class are divided in to groups by 4. Each group gets 15 minutes of time in the race track. In first 5 min. participant must mount transponder,<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">set the frequency he gets and register his transponder to the gates.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rest 10 min. can be estimated for practice and warm up.\u00a0After warm up all participants are divided in to a groups by total lap count in warm up (only laps without penalties are counted).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>PRO ir MINI\u00a0<\/strong>class competition consists of two stages and finals.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>First stage \u2013 flown in groups (the number of participants in groups will depend on the number of registrants and equipment, max 4).<\/li>\n<li>Second stage &#8211; after first stage participants\u00a0are divided in to the new groups by results of first stage and then flown again. Only the\u00a0best result of two flights are taken\u00a0and 8\u00a0participants with most points in each class qualify for the final.<\/li>\n<li>Finals\u00a0\u2013 flies finalists. The participant with most points collected in his class becomes a winner.<\/li>\n<li>In case of\u00a0large number of participants or bad weather competition stages can be reduced to one stage and finals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>FreeStyle<\/strong> category &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">flown by one<\/span>. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participant collected most points becomes a winner.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>The evaluation system:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PRO<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>MINI\u00a0<\/strong>class:\n<ul>\n<li>Flying five\u00a0laps on the track. For every completed lap\u00a010 points are obtained (the maximum possible number of points is &#8211; 50)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The total time is counted and compared to the tracks average.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For every second over the average 1 point is received.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Points for time are not taken away, that is if the track\u00a0is flown slower than average the maximum number of points obtained remain 50.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depending on the position of the finish additional point are given\u00a0(if less than 4 participants in the group last place always &#8211; 0):<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>1st place\u00a0&#8211;\u00a022<\/li>\n<li>2nd place\u00a0&#8211;\u00a017<\/li>\n<li>3rd place &#8211;\u00a012<\/li>\n<li>4th place &#8211;\u00a00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Team score &#8211;\u00a0point average of all team members representing that team in each class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>FreeStyle<\/strong>\u00a0category:\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The flight lasts no longer than 180s. (3 min.), points are appointed by judges. The maximum possible points &#8211; 100.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the flight all existing tracks objects can be used, but, unlike race, any contact with the ground or other objects means immediately terminated\u00a0performance, and the points are calculated only for the done part<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>Team standings<\/strong><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Team standings are valid in\u00a0<strong>PRO<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>MINI<\/strong>\u00a0classes.<\/li>\n<li>One participant may represent\u00a0only one and the same team.<\/li>\n<li>One Team must be represented at least by two participants in each class.<\/li>\n<li>The Team itself decides how many members and in which class\u00a0will represent that Team (Not\u00a0all Team members should\u00a0represent Team in the race)<\/li>\n<li>Team members not representing the Team may enter the race as individual participants.<\/li>\n<li>For Team standings are valid the same evaluation system as for individual participants and the overall team score &#8211; point average of all team members representing that team in each class.<\/li>\n<li>Team must have:\n<ul>\n<li>Team name.<\/li>\n<li>A freely accessible list of Team members on the Internet (one day before race, at least).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum two members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Penalties<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Missing\u00a0\u2013 for not overcoming the obstacle (not flying into the gate) \u2013 6 penalty points if fly-close, without touching the earth or obstacle. (when gates are missed it is possible to turn around, fly back and try again to fly into the gate if retry is successful penalty points are not added).<\/li>\n<li>Stumble\u00a0\u2013 for\u00a0the touched, but not knocked-down or broken track equipment (plates, gates, lights, nets) 6\u00a0penalty points are given, the flight may continue only if you can fly without outside help.<\/li>\n<li>When breaking the tracks equipment \u2013 racing stops, the participant will be disqualified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Track<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Track is fenced by stop band.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants can enter the track only with the permission of judges.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The track consists of at least five gates, through which the participants need to fly. The start and finish gates are marked exclusively<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Track layout for\u00a0each racing\u00a0event\u00a0is prepared differently<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Track turns are marked with flags.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Track plan is given to the participants before the race<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The trajectories between the gates are marked by hallmarks<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Judging<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each class competitions are judged by at least two judges (FreeStyle category at least 5 judges), whose duty is objectively evaluate track incidents, and to impose penalties and sum up the results of the competition<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The judges always have the right to disqualify participants who according to the judges\u2019 discretion behave improperly, do not comply with the rules and requirements<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>In case of dispute or doubt judge will be able to view\u00a0DVR recording. In all cases, the judge&#8217;s decision is final.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spotters<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Each participant must be a Spotter for participant in another group. A participant who does not fly\u00a0at the time\u00a0will spot the same Channel assignment hi has\u00a0for current stage.\u00a0Accurate spotting\u00a0schedule will be made after the registration of participants.<\/li>\n<li>The Spotter\u00a0has to calculate his assigned participant penalties, and after each group run report judges the total count of penalties (the number of times participant missed gates\u00a0and the number of times participant\u00a0stumbled\u00a0on the race track elements).<\/li>\n<li>In the event of disagreement between the spotter\u00a0and the judge, the judge&#8217;s decision is always an overriding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although this section is at the end, but it is the most important.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you have just finished preparing the equipment &#8211; immediately go behind the safety net<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you see that you cannot control the copter &#8211; immediately disarm, the same is true when faced with an obstacle. Judges reserve the right to disqualify participants who, despite the accidends, try to continue the race<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beware of viewers, even if they appear in an unexpected place<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Even at the scheduled time going to the track &#8211; be sure to wear the vest\u00a0and turned on\u00a0minicopter take\u00a0only with gloves.<\/li>\n<li>In case of need &#8211; fire extinguisher and first aid kit will be near the judges table.<\/li>\n<li>It is strictly forbidden to fly over the judges, observers and spectator area, the same applies to participants of the FreeStyle category.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Race of FPV Minicopters Race of FPV (First Person View) minicopters, which is organized by the LT-FPV \u00a0team,\u00a0is a kind of entertainment, but with each race event we are trying to match as much as possible with\u00a0international\u00a0FAI F3U\u00a0sporting\u00a0requirements.
